Events and Operations Internship
Event Support & Coordination
- Assist with planning and executing summer events, including:
- NC State vs UNC Men's basketball game (December 15, 2026)
- Wake Forest vs West Virginia Men's Basketball Game (December 19, 2026)
- 2026 Lewis-Bethel Invitational
- Support volunteer coordination, including scheduling, communication, and on-site assistance
- Participating in event setup, operations, and breakdown
- Be present and actively engaged at scheduled events (attendance expected)
Office, Project Work & Social Media
- Provide general support to staff on ongoing projects and initiatives
- Assist with administrative tasks, research, and coordination as needed
- Collaborate with team members on social media efforts, including:
- Brainstorming content ideas
- Creating and drafting posts for various platforms
- Go to events going on around Greensboro to collect social media content
- Collaborate with team members across departments to support organizational goals
Professional Development Opportunities
- Opportunities to shadow industry professionals and gain exposure to different areas of event and venue management
- Potential shadowing experiences may include:
- Team members at the Greensboro Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB)
- Staff at First Horizon Coliseum
- Staff at the Greensboro Aquatic Center
Schedule & Flexibility
- Event days and times will vary depending on the event schedule
- During non-event periods, interns can expect a lighter in-office schedule (approximately 2–3 days per week)
- We do work around schedules, vacations, etc.
