Toyota Production Engineering Battery Fall Co-op

Key Responsibilities:

Toyota’s newest manufacturing facility, Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC), is looking for highly motivated Engineering Co-op’s. As an Engineering Co-op, you’ll gain new experience relative to your major, participate in a world-renowned production system, practice what you learn in class through hands-on applications, network with professionals in your field of interest, test drive a career and get a better grasp of your goals and interests and expand your technical skills to develop a confident, professional image. Engineering Co-op’s will work on a variety of engineering assignments and projects can range from vehicle design, targeting cost or defect reductions, improving machine efficiency, collecting, and analyzing production data, re-designing parts/components for improved manufacturability, analyzing/improving floor layouts and many other projects and responsibilities. 

 

Key Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited degree program (this includes both two-year and four-year college/university) studying Engineering in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Environmental, and Mechatronics.
  • Seeking second-year students and above that are available to work during the fall (08/24/26 – 12/11/26) or spring term (01/11/27 – 04/30/27) with a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in CAD, displaying mechanical aptitude and effective communication skills.
  • Exposure to the battery manufacturing processes.
  • Have a reliable form of transportation to and from the work location.
  • Must demonstrate a genuine interest in and willingness to work in the automotive/mobility industry post-graduation.
  • Must have the right to work in the United States and not require Toyota sponsorship for immigration-related employment (e.g., H-1B, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, TN, or F-1 OPT extension) now or in the future. 
  • Must have completed at least one full academic year at a two-year or four-year college or university post-high school (sophomore standing or above)
