Industrial Engineer Intern
Acme Sample is seeking an Industrial Engineer Intern position in High Point, NC. This part-time position offers flexible hours and bi-weekly pay.
You will be responsible for supporting our operations team, observing manufacturing processes, conducting time and efficiency studies, and making recommendations to our operations leadership team. You will work closely with team members at all levels of our business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Observe equipment and procedures to identify efficiency opportunities and potential equipment enhancements.
- Conduct time studies and make recommendations to eliminate inefficiencies and improve production procedures.
- Observe processes, procedures, and equipment with a focus on enhancing our “Safety First” culture.
- Research new technologies, source new vendors, and make recommendations to our operations leadership team.
- Work with available equipment to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years completed towards your bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Dedicated commitment to safety and building a strong, team-based culture.
- Prior knowledge and experience working with Continuous Sustained Improvement principles.
- Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel and Word.
