Marketing Intern Job Description

          

About the Role

 

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Summer Marketing Intern to assist with developing marketing materials, proposals, and digital content for a growing construction management company. This role offers hands-on experience refreshing proposal templates, brochures, flyers, and digital content while collaborating with project teams and department leaders to strengthen our marketing materials and client-facing resources.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in marketing, communications, design, or business, particularly within the construction or professional services industry.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS / Learning Objectives

 

Proposal & Marketing Materials 

  • Assist with revamping existing proposal templates to improve consistency, branding, and visual impact
  • Support proposal formatting, editing, printing, and assembly
  • Help refresh flyers, brochures, slick sheets, and digital marketing content

 

Project Summaries

·  Create and maintain an index of all project summaries

· Develop project summary sheets in collaboration with internal stakeholders

·  Ensure summaries are accurate, current, and aligned with brand standards 

 

Project Slick Sheets

·  Standardize formatting across all slick sheets

·  Gather and organize the most recent slick sheets

·  Work with department leaders to keep materials up to date, relevant, and client-ready 

Brochures

  • Assist with the creation, editing, and printing of market-specific brochures for five departments:   
  1. General Contracting
  2. Construction Management
  3. Building Diagnostics
  4. Telecommunications
  5. Commercial Interior Design
  • Assist with print production for trade shows and industry events

 

Conventions & Trade Shows

  • Assist with event and show preparation, including:
  • Attendee research
  • Materials and product coordination
  • Display and booth preparation
  • Support post-convention follow-up, including communication and lead outreach

 

Digital Content & Branding

  • Help update digital marketing assets (website content, social media graphics, email visuals, etc.)
  • Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and messaging

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); 
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe, or similar tools is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Interest in construction, engineering, or professional services preferred
  • Creative, organized, and eager to learn
