UPL Test Proctoring Assistant (FWS preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assisting with checking students into and out of the UPL, including verifying ID and handling locker assignments.
- Helping with monitoring the UPL during test administration, including following a screen viewer.
- Reporting of any issues that occur during a test administration, including technical issues and possible academic integrity violations.
- Providing feedback on UPL functions and procedures to assist with efficacy and efficiency.
- Completing a weekly timesheet and daily task list.
Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week, scheduled by the Assistant Director for Academic Excellence who oversees the UPL. Some evening and weekend shifts may be required.
Compensation: $13/hr., paid monthly on the last business day of the month.
Qualifications:
To qualify for working in the UPL, applicants must maintain good academic standing, and have no academic integrity violations on file with the university.
You must also have a Federal Work Study award as part of your financial aid package.
In addition, successful candidates will also:
- Have basic knowledge of computer fundamentals (using MS Word, interacting with pdfs, reasonable typing skill, comfort using Windows operating system).
- Have a willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be able to follow written and oral instructions carefully.
- Be able to summarize interactions with others in writing after the fact.
- Be reliable and trustworthy including being on time and having careful engagement with confidential records, etc.
- Be able to count quickly and accurately up to 40.
- Good amount of focus; ability to manage a reasonable amount of concentration for long periods of time.
Training and support will be provided for specific job tasks related to this role.
