Early Childhood Classroom Assistant

Hands on learning experiences with children ages 3 months through 5 years of age, become part of the classroom team providing quality care and educational learning opportunities for young children.

·    Help maintain a safe environment for children by visually supervising them at all times

·    Interact/Engage in play with children in the classroom and on the playground

·    Assist teachers with classroom duties such as:   

·    Snack and meal prep and cleanup

·    Diapering and toileting as needed

·    Classroom laundry

·    Provide supervision at nap times

·    Assist with planned classroom and playground activities including:

·     Setting up materials when needed

·     Engaging children in activities

·     Read to children

·     Cleaning up after activities                                        

Work Schedule: Varies/Hours of Operation: 8am-4:30pm

To be hired:

Students will be responsible for obtaining a medical report and TB screening report from a medical professional.

Students will have to complete Health and Safety training before first work day (training will be compensated).

Students will have to complete a NC DHHS Background Check through the Child Care Background Check unit (Assistance provided ). Students will have to receive fingerprints from a law enforcement agency.

Students will need CPR/FIRST AID Training before the first 90 days of employment. This service will be offered to you as an employee at a discounted rate. If you would like to complete this on your own, it must be a program that is face-to-face only. Online certification is not approved.

Pay ranges from $10-$12 ($10-No experience to some), ($12-Associate's Degree or higher)
